"Songs That Will Please Kids"
(by Lahri Bond, Dirty Linen)
Both Paul Lippert and Sue Ribaudo
have produced some fine recordings for children and here they
combine talents for twice the fun. Sporting intelligent
arrangements and good musicianship, this duo also bring
together a solid collection of self-penned and cover tunes
for a very nice album for the five- to ten-year olds.
From Lippert's "If You Can Walk You Can Dance" to their
delightful talking drum driven cover of Harry Belafonte's
"Turn the World Around," they combine their rich voices with
up-tempo semi-acoustic music for a set of songs that will please
the kids and parents alike.

"Ribaudo's Voice is Engaging"
(by Barbara Schaffer, Dirty Linen)
This second recording by Sue Ribaudo
contains some lovely traditional and original songs and fun,
rhythmic ditties intended to promote environmental awareness.
Ribaudo's voice is engaging and the music and accompaniment
are top rate. Children will enjoy this collection without
prompting and it will leave parents in good humor, even after
repeated listenings.

"A Fresh Coat of Musical Color"
(by Lahri Bond, Dirty Linen, December-January 1990-1991)
Pay attention day care, kindergarten teachers
and early childhood development instructors. This is your tape.
Sue Ribaudo brings her experience as a teacher and fine folk musician
to this wonderful activity tape, featuring 19 songs designed to
sing along and act out with. This tape is a great source for counting
songs, exercise songs, and game songs.
Such well-worn tunes as "London Bridge," "Rise and Shine,"
"Old John Braddledum," and even "Yankee Doodle" are given a
fresh coat of musical color -- primary colors, I might add.
The selections are played on a healthy selection of folk instruments,
from hammered dulcimer and autoharp to pump organ and body percussion.
A spiral-bound book with music and words to the songs as well as
resources and activity suggestions is also available.
A truly superb source of simple and playful tunes for younger children.
